As the weather starts to grow colder in the United States, you may find yourself dreaming of warmer climates. I’ve been there too. After several years in California (where admittedly the weather doesn’t get too much colder), I couldn’t help but wonder what it would be like to live somewhere where it was always warm. Well let me tell you, Cabo San Lucas weather does not disappoint.
Now that I live in Mexico full-time, I’m here to tell you that it’s everything I thought it would be. Cabo San Lucas’ weather is beautiful this time of year—and I get to enjoy it knowing that I won’t ever have to experience a drop of snow or a day away from the beach. I can do all of the activities I enjoy year-round, and because the weather is nice, my family is always willing to visit (or vacation) here.
Best of all, warmer weather is better for your health than colder weather. It contributes to greater levels of happiness, lower levels of depression, decreased blood pressure levels, lower incidences of joint pain, and less diabetic complications. Those living in warm weather are also less likely to experience a heart attack. Just another reason why retiring in Mexico is a great idea. Who doesn’t love to feel great on a daily basis?
Here’s What Cabo San Lucas Weather Is like in the Winter:
While Chicago is experiencing below-zero temperatures, Cabo San Lucas averages a high of 82 degrees Fahrenheit and a low 55 degrees. There are nine hours of sunlight each day, and the ocean stays a nice 77 degrees. In other words, the weather is pure perfection. And if you’re wondering whether or not it will still feel like Christmas without all that snow—rest assured—we do a great job at decorating our palm trees.
January is the coldest month of the year in Cabo San Lucas with an average high of 79 degrees and a low of 54 degrees. The ocean is 75 degrees, and there’s virtually no rain. That means you can still go for a swim in January if you’d like to. You can take your sailboat out or get out on the green for a round of golf. No matter what activities you enjoy doing, you can keep on doing them year-round in Cabo San Lucas.
February starts to warm back up with an average high of of 84 degrees and a low of 54 degrees. As if it wasn’t sunny enough already, February pops back up to ten hours of sunlight each day, so you can sit out on your deck (or dock) a little later than usual. April, May, and June are the sunniest months of the year with 12 hours of sunlight per day. When your family members are about ready to shake the freezing weather in the United States, they can visit you in Cabo.
There’s no doubt about it, Cabo San Lucas weather is one of the best perks of living here. If you’re thinking about moving to Cabo full or part-time, give me call. I’d love to help you find the perfect place to live in paradise.
